Holbrook “Nourishing Conversations”
Though traditional worship no longer takes place on Sundays, once a month a small group gathers to talk – really talk – about how God is present and working in their lives. This activity will be supported by Rev Yvonne Ghavalas, the Uniting Church Southern Riverina Region Minister.
Starting in February 2022, on Tuesdays at 11a.m. we will revisit some of our “Origin stories” as Christians and people – from writing our own creation poetry to wondering what it might be like inside the belly of a fish to populating our family tree.
Open to people of diverse cultural and spiritual backgrounds, where questions are most welcome, and laughter is commonplace, all are welcome to share with us – including in the wonderful lunch at J&B’s that follows.
Rev Yvonne is also available in the Holbrook area for weddings, funerals, baby blessings and baptisms. You can learn more about her or sign up for spiritual resources at www.liturgies4life.com.

UCA Holbrook Property Use
The Knox Uniting Church has been at the heart of the Holbrook community for many, many, many years and remains a space that is available for gathering.
Currently, a gentle exercise group runs in the main hall on Tuesday mornings and a community Art Group meets in the small hall on Wednesday evenings.
Should you be interested in hiring our facilities or using the property for the benefit and building up of the Holbrook community, please contact Paul Creek on “Riverina Presbytery Property Officer” cperrx7@tznvy.pbz
Knox Uniting Art Group
Every Wednesday evening from 5:30 to 7:30 a friendly, creative group of artists get together with their own work and equipment to paint in different styles and mediums in the small hall at the Knox Uniting Church.
Informal coffee meetups, excursions to art galleries and shows, and art workshops are also offered occasionally with the hope that 2022 will see them hosting their own show.
Beginners are most welcome!
The cost is $5 for every week that you attend during the term. Please contact Wendy Swan on 0488 062 669 or pandwswan@outlook.com for more information.
